Clay Kaytis was born and raised in Southern California. After his first two jobs at Disneyland, Kaytis willed his way into an internship at Walt Disney Feature Animation (now Walt Disney Animation Studios) and for the next 19 years cultivated his animation career among the best in the industry. As a Studio Department Leader, Kaytis was instrumental in guiding the Animation Department to produce industry leading animation, starting with Tangled. Today he incorporates the principles he learned at Disney – entertainment, appeal, heart – with his off-beat sense of humor as a filmmaker. His directorial debut, The Angry Birds Movie, releases in theaters May 20, 2016.
